Animus

While scholars disagree regarding the exact nature of animus, one fact cannot be denied: without animus, there is no life.
Everything that lives contains an animus spark. More complex creatures require a larger amount of animus to maintain viability.
Certain creatures have a particular link to animus itself, allowing to draw on raw sources of animus, or manipulate it in others.
