3rd Body Art: The Rite of Innumerable Transformations

Effect

A Mage who has mastered this spell possesses the ability to assume the form, powers, abilities, and capabilities of any being that they chose. This is not 2nd Body Art: Shapeshifting where the mage just looks like the target or can mimic physical attributes, this rite allows a Mage to assume the form of their target, including their unqiue abilities and powers, fully capapble of everyhting and anything that the target is.   This spell has a high energy cost when creating the Mold but once the Mold is made, the mage can invoke the transformation on command with low energy cost. If the form they assume runs out of Magical Energy, they will be forced to revert back to their true form. By the rules of this spell, if a Mage assumed the form of a being with an exceptional amount of magical energy, they could easily maintain this form for prolonged amounts of time until the form runs out of energy.
The Many Lives of the Many-Formed Mages
Once a Mage has a Relic and conqueres it to make a Mold for their new transformation, they gain that new form and its abilities for use. Mages can store up to 72 transformations internally, with anymore needing to be stored externally via any number of means. For each form stored in the body, the mage is capable of cheating death in exchange for losing that transformation. A mage who has mastered this spell to its fullest is capable of surviving death 72 seperate times, losing all of their transformations ofcourse. This rule also applies to the transformations themselves, who can be "killed" but the Mage will not lose access to that transformation unless it is killed 71 more times. With each of the 72 transformations each capapble of dying 72 times, this makes a Mage of this spell functionally unkillable. Or, at the very least, needing to be slain at least 5,184 times.

Manifestation

The Mage will appear just as their target appears at the time of the mimic being made.

Material Components
A Relic is an extremely powerful magical item or object of signifigant value belonging to a person or persons. A mage who learns this spell, will need to aquire a unique Relic of the target they seek to make a Mold out of. Be this their favorite sword that has served them faithfully for a thousand years or the cape they wear displaying their House banners. Whatever it is, this Relic needs to be "soaked" in the target's unqiue Magical Energy, ingrained with their very SOUL. Most targets who would have a Relic are not like to part with it easily and even if so, Relics might be dangerous or enchanted. It is this Relic the mage needs to defeat before they can use this new form.   Mages who use this spell, the Rite of Innumerable Transformations, often have their own Relics, extremely powerful items indeed. The Relic of a Mage who has mastered this rite is a thing to covet among similar Mages. Not only would such a Relic be soaked in the energies of so many different beings, it would have echoes of the Relics that mage aquireid in their time.

Applied Restriction
A mage can use this spell whenever they want on whoever they want, but a mage has to first conquer it. This rite will create a Mold of the target that the mage has to force into submission or defeat via might of arms or cunning games. Regardless of the means, a mage cannot assume the form of a being they have not defeated. Additionally, a Mage can store these Molds externally, but once this spell is mastered, they can store 72 Molds internally to be called upon on command.   The Mold of a target is a snapshot of the target at that space-time the Mage cast the spell. This mold does not grow to match the target, a new Mold will need to be made and defeated before this new version of the target can be called upon for use.   Beings with the Truth Seeing Eye of the Inner Mind can preceive the truth of reality, and thus peer through the transformation, forcibly making the mage revert back to their true form. Additionally, beings with this Inner Mind Eye cannot be used as a Mold by the mage as the eye rejects all falsehoods and deceptions.
