Personal history

Sakamae was born as the daughter of Urayama Otsune, a Lunar Goddess and next in line to rule Urasaki, The Pit of Darkness. She played a key role in helping her mother stage a coup but it was snuffed out, and Otsune was killed by her sister. The Empress only kept Sakamae alive, deep in Yomi, in the hopes of one day controlling the Esoteric Flames she inherited. During the End of Reason, Urasaki suffered from mass madness, and Sakamae made her escape.

If you spend 150 years in Yomi, one of the most dangerous and foul prisons ever constructed, you too might come out a little crooked. Sakamae isn't crazy, but one would not be faulted for believing so. She leaps without hesitation, even into a battle she cannot win, and will give everything she has to win. Her base instinct is survival and during her imprisonment in Yomi, it was all she knew how to do.

The White Lotus worships Aund YSUS, Bearer of the Word FLOW, of the Seven Part Name. Her realm, Urasaki, The Pit of Darkness, is controlled by seven Lunar deities following the path of water. Otsune is the sister to one of these Lunar Deities, Orika. She sought to usurp her sister through a Godling sired via the seduction of a young Sir Balthazar. However, Orika learned of her plans and killed her, taking the child in as her own Ward instead. Sir Balthazar was never aware of his daughter's existence in life.
