All Svartálfar reside in Svartálfheim at the base of Yggdrasil. Some are nomadic and some have founded settlements of their own out in the Kahos Lands.

History

The Svartálfar (Dark Elves) were originally part of the Ljósálfar (Light Elves) and all lived together in the Realm of Alphondis. Things changed when a sect of Ljósálfar committed a cardinal sin and began to worship Khaos, enticed by promises of power beyond their imagination. Her Grace, Hasadiah, sent her Heavenly Host, led by her Son, Godrick The Blighted, to bring justice to the traitors. This was known as the Black-Blood War wherein the Ljósálfar in question had their blood corrupted from tampering with forces beyond their control.

The war came to a close in 4339 BB during The 2nd Age: Kingdom Come, the traitors surrender under the rule of the old king Beluar Vajeon. He and his remaining followers were banished from Yggdrasil forever, them and all their seed. They would come to be known as Svartálfar, Dark Elves. Old Beluar and his Knights settled on land at the foot of Yggdrasil and founded a land of their own, Svartálfheim, Land of Dark Elves.

Beluar Vajeon

Beluar Vajeon was the last true King of the Dark Elves, a formidable warrior who once did battle with The Blightborn Knights, only being defeated by Godrick The Blighted and forced to surrender to save his Dark Moon Knights. Beluar was the last of the true Dark Elven Kings, with the Vajeon line ending with his death.
