The Abomination Vault serves as an armory of Unholy Weapons of Mass Destruction (UWMD) meticulously crafted by the Dukes of the Underworld, in preparation for the anticipated Day of Judgement. This Vault, hidden within The Underworld, is securely locked with an Absolution Matrix, ensuring its impregnability until the advent of Judgement Day. Once any Weapons are deposited into the Abomination Vault, retrieval becomes impossible through conventional means. Its name, "Abomination Vault," reflects its purpose—to house Weapons designed for waging war on the Holy Realms, with the potential to unleash devastating destruction. The Vault was founded circa 1628 and the End War started in 134269, at which point the Vault was raided by the Demons of the Underworld to fight in the war. It remained secure and operation for it's entire lifespan, laying in wait for about 132,641 Years.

Purpose / Function

The Abomination Vault was constructed with the purpose to
  1. House Unholy Weapons of Mass Destruction (UWMD) created by the Dukes of the Underworld in preparation for the Day of Judgement.
  2. Prevent 3rd parties and foreign powers from stealing UWMDs from the Underworld.
  3. Prevent the improper use of said UWMDs prematurely by both foreign and domestic powers

Design

The Abomination Vault stands as a pinnacle of cutting-edge research, development, and manufacturing capabilities, focused on producing and maintaining advanced weapons and artifacts for the impending End War. The facility is divided into four spheres of influence, each serving a crucial role in the creation and preservation of the Vault's armaments: Research and Development, Manufacturing Sphere, Verification & Validation, and Storage & Inventory.
  1. Research and Development
  2. Manufacturing Sphere
  3. Verification and Validation
  4. Storage & Inventory
Research and Development: The Research and Development sphere serves as the genesis of all items within the Vault. This section facilitates secure and unsecured communications channels to acquire new blueprints, molds, and advancements in Science and Magic, enabling the formulation of novel designs. Vast libraries and data banks house comprehensive information, fostering innovation and supporting the creation of cutting-edge weaponry. Moreover, the R&D department is responsible for collecting telemetry data from various sectors within the Vault, ensuring continuous improvement and optimization.
Manufacturing Sphere: The heart of the Vault, the Manufacturing Sphere, houses millions of forges and foundries that operate tirelessly to produce all necessary armaments for the Vault's inhabitants. Overseen directly by the esteemed Archdemon Bezazel, the Forge Demon, this sphere efficiently manages the influx of resources to meet demands promptly. When orders are placed, the foundries and forges spring into action, ensuring accurate and timely delivery. The Manufacturing Sphere plays a pivotal role in the Vault's preparedness for the End War.
Verification and Validation: The Verification and Validation section serves as the essential quality assurance arm of the Vault. Here, meticulous testing and thorough inspections are conducted to verify the integrity and accuracy of the weapons and artifacts produced. Rigorous examinations are carried out to identify any faults, imperfections, or damages. Successful completion of V&V testing allows for mass production by the Manufacturing Sphere, while items failing the evaluation are returned to R&D for corrective measures. V&V also provides specialized training grounds and Holo-Chambers to hone the skills of the Living Weapons, enabling them to master their craft effectively.
Storage & Inventory: The final stage in the armament lifecycle resides within the Storage & Inventory sphere. Every individual weapon and artifact is meticulously accounted for and stored under ideal conditions to maintain peak performance and longevity. As the Vault anticipates the sudden onset of the End War, routine inventory refreshes are carried out to ensure that weapons do not "expire" or fall below expected performance parameters. Discarded armaments are carefully dismantled for resource reclamation and returned to the Manufacturing Sphere. Throughout this process, R&D captures and records valuable data, allowing for iterative improvements in the Vault, weapon design, and process implementation.

Defenses

Deep within the infernal realms, where darkness and malevolence intertwine, exists a place of dread and significance known as the "Abomination Vault." This accursed vault falls under the dominion of one of the powerful Dukes of the Underworld, Duke Mammon, The Prince of Possessions. Mammon, a Demon Prince of Greed, guards the Vault with an unwavering grasp on anything he considers to be his own, refusing to part with even the slightest possession. It is for this reason that Lucifer, the Morning Star himself, assigned him this crucial task.
Assisting Duke Mammon in his duties is the formidable division known as "The Legion of Gilded Chains." This elite force has devoted an entire Brigade to safeguarding the Abomination Vault. High above the Vault's ominous skies, the Avarice-Class Dreadnaught "Eygyo IV" maintains an ever-watchful presence, surrounded by an imposing armada of supporting vessels. On the ground, 32 heavily fortified military installations are strategically scattered around the Vault, forming an impenetrable barrier against any intruders. The security of the Vault is of paramount importance, for it houses some of the most potent and destructive weapons ever conceived within the Unholy Realms. Should these dreadful armaments be stolen or fall into the wrong hands, the painstaking preparations made by the Demons for the impending End War could be rendered futile.
The Absolution Matrix
The Absolution Matrix is no ordinary lock; it operates on a predetermined and momentous event called the "Day of Judgement." It is an event shrouded in uncertainty, known only to the cosmic forces that govern the universe. The Matrix is designed to open its tightly sealed gates exclusively on this momentous occasion - no sooner, no later. It stands as an immutable testament to the precision and discipline of its creators, for they allowed no room for exceptions or violations of its rules.
Intriguingly, the Absolution Matrix is not just a product of human ingenuity or magical prowess. It is intrinsically bound by the very laws that govern creation - the revered "Seven Sacred Seals." These seals are thought to be the fundamental principles on which the universe rests, holding together the fabric of reality. By tying the Matrix to these sacred laws, its creators have placed it in harmony with the very essence of existence. However, this Matrix is not fool-proof, hence the extended methods the Dukes of the Underworld have taken to secure the Vault.

History

The Creation of the Vault
After Lucifer's Failed Rebellion in the White City, he and his Generals and their Generals and all of the Fallen Angels under them were cast into the Unholy Realms where they sired the Demon Race and made the Underworld their new home. Among the Fallen Angels, one name stood out - General Kokabiel, a subordinate of the fearsome Samael, who brought forth a profound idea that would shape the destiny of the Underworld. He proposed the creation of a vault, a bastion of darkness where the Unholy Weapons of Mass Destruction (UWMDs) would be amassed, preparing them for the inevitable War with the White City on the prophesied Judgement Day.
The first deposit into this malevolent armory was none other than the Fallen Angel Bezazel, a scion of Duke Azazel, a potent figure among the demons. Bezazel possessed a unique and potent gift, bestowed upon him by the Dwarf Kings - the art of Smithing. With the blessings of these ancient and skilled craftsmen, he vowed to forge weapons of unparalleled malevolence for his demon lords, readying them for the impending end war. Within the shadowy depths of the vault, Bezazel constructed a diabolic forge, a crucible of demonic energy where his craftsmanship would give birth to the instruments of destruction. With the twisted secrets of the Underworld at his disposal, he embarked on his painstaking journey, crafting unholy and maleficent weapons of unparalleled malevolence.
Each strike of Bezazel's hammer resonated with a sinister purpose, imbuing these accursed arms with potent dark energies. The heat of the demonic forge seemed to echo the wrath of the Unholy Realms, as malevolent sparks flew and twisted metal took shape under his unhallowed hands. Each weapon forged was a testament to the malefic ambition and relentless dedication of the fallen smith, fulfilling his pledge to equip the forces of darkness for the ultimate confrontation with the White City.
The Apostles of Judas Raid the Vault
Despite all of the defenses and military installations and war fleets, and personnel guarding the Abomination Vault, and the Absolution Matrix, it was known to be invaded on serval separate occasions, but only one of the raiding parties ever successfully got out with the prize they sought. At the time, none of this was known, but the following story has been pieced together from documents, transmissions, flight logs, and "statements" taken from captured raiders after "severe questioning tactics" were engaged.
One of the Holy Prophets, Judas Iscariot, had long since been seduced by Kháos and was not himself. He had designs on killing God and ushering in a new age of Kháos for his new Kháos Gods of Discord. However, killing God was nigh impossible, and should he manage to do so, God could simply revive himself whenever he wanted. No, Judas would need to do more than kill God, he would need to defile the very essence of God so thoroughly that the violation would seep into the very heart of creation itself. He would ruin God.
To briefly change focus, let the records recall Lilith, the First Wife of King Adaximaus and current Duchess to Duke Samael, one of the honored Fallen Angels. Lilith was cunning and intelligent, but most importantly here, she was blessed with the Gift of Smithing from the Dwarf Kings and used her gifts to lay the plans for many Unholy weapons and artifacts, among them being the Inverted Spear of Heaven, a spear capable of killing Holy Beings, wounding Angels, but ineffective against God. She had it forged and deposited into the Abomination Vault, a present for her son Prince Mephistopheles, for the Day of Judgement. This Spear was Judas's prize that he sought.
Judas deployed his Apostles to seek out the Spear. Breaking into the Abomination Vault is not easy, yes, but getting out is the hard part, as the Absolution Matrix forbids any deposited weapons from ever leaving until Judgement Day arrives. Judas wanted to use Kháos to undo the Matrix, but it would attract the attention of the Morning Star and St. Michael, and regardless, Kháos was not yet strong enough within reality to oppose God's Order. And so, Judas went with the extreme option, he would simply turn the Vault inside out, bring the Spear "inside" of the Vault, reverse it back to normal, and the Spear would be outside from the "inside". And this worked.
The Legion of Gilded Chains killed many of the fleeing Apostles and captured whom they could, but by day's end, the Spear had been stolen. Duke Mammon, The Prince of Possessions, punished his Demonic Legion harshly for embarrassing him so thoroughly, and Mammon received his own punishment from the Morning Star for this violation of security and protocol. Samael was outraged at the offense to his newborn son and Duchess Lilith had her spy network and all of her staff purged out of fear of spies. This matter was raised with Heaven, but the White City found such claims launched against one of God's foremost Prophets baseless and the House of Iscariot disreaded the Aposltes as rebels.
