ISHIN, Order Incarnate is the Aeon in command of Yggdrasil, the Tree of Worlds by order of the Honored Great One. ISHIN is a common term for how lower beings comprehend him, a nickname if you will. ISHIN's real name is unrecognizable to any and all non-Multiversal beings such as another Aeon, like himself, thus it has been interpreted into seven "Words", with the number seven being a sacred number that reappears naturally in Yggdrasil.

The seven words are "REBIRTH. ENDINGS. VOYAGE. HOPE. FLOW. CINDER. LEGENDARY." and make up the Seven-Part Name of ISHIN. These words are metaphysical and manifest as the 7 Avatars of ISHIN, each representing a part of ISHIN's true name. Lower lifeforms can learn these "Words", gaining immense power and understanding from them. While anyone can learn a Word, very few possess the skill and mindset to do so. And of those who do, lesser still can learn more than one. But, Empyreans can learn all 7 Words without risk to their mental state.

The seven words each grant a different type of power or ability, and each Learner of Names interprets it differently, which in turn has a unique effect on whatever Power System they use, which is an interpretation of the Crucible (SEE Power Systems of the Crucible). However, what Name Learners are interpreting is thus;

1. REBIRTH; To be born again or made anew
2. ENDINGS; To know the End and Embrace it
3. VOYAGE; To see all Paths and explore all Directions
4. HOPE; To keep thyself against all else
5. FLOW; To move with the way of all things effortlessly
6. CINDER; To bring about devastation and destruction
7. LEGENDARY; To succeed beyond one's limits and aspire for Glory Everlasting

The final stage of Names is becoming a Named Sage. To append one's name onto the end of one of ISHINs is considered heresy by many religions as it implies the being in question thinks they are like, near, or on the same level as a being such as ISHIN. However, if you do not possess such religious reservations, becoming a Named Sage greatly amplifies the powers and techniques you employ. Furthermore, it turns your birth name into a Word, similar (though dramatically inferior) to one of ISHIN's names. The advantages of this are many, as learning a Sage's Name is incredibly easy, at least when compared to learning the name of ISHIN. Additionally, it is easier to learn multiple Sage Names within a natural lifetime whereas a Name of ISHIN takes serval lifetimes.

Manifestation

Each of the Seven words that make up ISHIN's real name is composed of seven syllables, only after learning each syllable of a word can one be called a Learner of Names. Once a Name is learned, a halo manifests around the head of the Name Learner, depicting the sigil of that Name assciaciated with the Avatar.
