SFA - Savage Fryth Anvor

"Think you that you know  of the wide world because our town grows rich on the trade between the grain merchants and the herdsmen on their way to Aurum City? Think you that the tales told by the wandering minstrels and couriers make you wise in the ways of the peoples of this land? Or that the brawls between wagon men and hired guardsmen while you mop up the spills from your uncle's tavern every night has prepared you? It has not.   "Fryth Anvor is tall and wide, and you know nothing of the creatures in the woods or the mountains, the ancient history of the empires that once united us all, now toppled into dust and ruin so far gone few even know their names. You know less than the least beggars in the hovels in Aurum City, which presumes to name itself a city in the first place! Bah! But I know... for I was not always here in this place. Auntie Audyah knows more than she should. Give us a mug of the brown ale your uncle brews, and a plate of the mutton, and I will tell you of the world, my child.   "Fryth Anvor, and all of its splendor, from horrible secrets to the high dragon-city of Askolvieth, perched atop the Whitecaps, peering out over the entire world... Auntie Audyah knows, for she is older than she looks, and for the price of hot food and cold beer, she will tell you, child. She will tell you all.   "Come now. Fryth Anvor awaits..."
— Auntie Audyah
Hi! Sorry for the appearance. Fryth Anvor was originally a setting developed and used with D&D 5e games, but because of the OGL and Pinkerton debaucle, I migrated things to Savage Worlds Adventurer's Edition for our regular game.   As a worldbuilder and 30+ year GM I fell in love with the system for its flexibility and ease of adaptation. But I note that high fantasy worlds like D&D's Faerun setting, or Greyhawk, do not seem as prevalent. And I think that SWADE makes a fine alternative to the big guns themselves, with a lot more flexibility for the GM and the players.   I've made a lot of worlds over my years, so I'm backing up to Fryth Anvor, and I'm taking years of play and the materials and places explored there, and I'm making it pretty and getting it ready for public consumption.   Feel free to poke around as things finalize and get sorted out. Much of what exists will stand, but changes are coming, so pardon the appearances in the meanwhile.
