Talenta Plains
As the early nations formed and people settled during The Age of Air, some did not. Some preferred to preserve their nomadic lifestyle instead. Many of these found place in the Taleneta Plains. Now the homeland of huge numbers of tribes of various races, the Talenta Plains is often dismissed as uncivilised by the people of the Five Nations but such accusations are born more out of ignorance than anything.
Sometimes there is a skirmish or so over territory or food but the tribes live largely in peace alongside each other, sharing stories and tips for survival. Most common among these tribes are the halflings who have thrived across the plains having tamed and domesticated some of the dinosaur population, using them as mounts and beasts of burden. Whilst agreeable most of the time, all fear the wrath of an enraged halfling horde charging atop their dinosaur steeds.
Some of these groups have seen opportunity in the civilisations that have sprouted up around them, evolving into travelling troupes; moving through the nations from village to town and putting on shows and performances for money.
There is something special too about the Talenta Plains. It has always seemed to be a gathering place for lost spirits of the world. Often, at night, the air is filled with an eerie song of remorse of those who have not properly passed from this world to the next. As such, the people of the plains have grown more superstitious than most and many have developed ways of communing with or interpreting these spirits. Kalashtar too, often feel themselves drawn here in search of answers of who they are.
