Mechanics & Inner Workings

When the command word is spoken and the glass turned over the malevolence of V’rama Vair begins to take effect on all those within 1 mile of the glass. After 6 rounds (1 minute) all level 1 characters (most ordinary "citizens) must make an Essence Level 5 RR or die. Each minute thereafter, another level is added until 15 minutes (90 rounds) have elapsed. Survivors of earlier rounds are not exempt from making further RRs in subsequent rounds. Thus a Level 1 character would have to make 15 RRs at a base 50% to survive. Breaking the glass halts the effect but the shattered glass reforms in 24 hours.
