Many know of (or at least suspect) their crimes; none will step forward to accuse Kellis Alaxatan or his sons, because no one wants to end up floating face down in a canal. Few have bested Alaxatan and lived to tell; one house is Pharnese, their sworn enemy.
Recently, Kelden Alaxatan has formed a "trade" agreement with Ioren Tasalamis (secretly a member of the White Hand) who, posing as a spice merchant has opened up a lucrative supply of Gort and other "medicinals".
