Asgard

Asgard is the realm of the Æsir, full of large, divine palaces. Asgard is connected to Midgard, the realm of humans, by a rainbow bridge called the Bifrost. It is surrounded by a high wall (although incomplete) built by a giant.
Asgard is divided into 12 smaller sub-realms. One of these sub-realms was Valhalla, a beautiful golden hall where Odin gave an afterlife to half of all warriors who died in battle. Another was Fólkvangr, a verdant field where Freya provided for the other half. Thrudheim the home of Thor, Breidablik the home of Baldur, and Himinbjörg home of Heimdall.
