Quarantines and local treatment
Hezten medicine in the early 6th age was an organised affair. Anything larger than a cold was seen to by a disciple of the Light, decked out in body covering robes, cloth gloves, and large ornate masks, shaped in gruesly grimaces to help with the purification of the body. The sick were kept to the house while others who lived alongside the sick were moved to neighboring buildings. The Disciple would then sit with the sick and tend to them in open aired prayer. This included ritual bathing in hot sand, with the sand being disposed of after the bathing.
