The Labyrinth of the Lost
Purpose / Function
One of the great domed cities of the previous age, now a long dead crypt.
Alterations
Small wooden structures web rooms inside it, squatters from outside that deign to live in the caves that honeycomb the world.
Architecture
The outwards look is that of a massive pyramid, with missing surfaces set into the stone blocks, where more valuable materials used to sit, the absences marking massive stone runes. The entry arch has been plugged with hinged wooden doors hammered into the original stone.
The peaks of each age brought magnificent things, impossible things.
Ruins in Shadowland
Many places in Shadowland are built upon and within by those from a later age. Ruins fill with creatures and communities that can't build groupings that want to interact with nations, or towns, or city states. These communities generally get no larger than one or two families. Other communities are larger but seen as unofficial by larger countries as they are comprised of the shunned, the 'lesser' races, or the othered.
