The Waking Disease
The disease commonly is seen around equitorial coastal towns and swamplands, with victims falling to coma. Many remedies and home brews for the disease exist, with only the very young and very old likely to reach past the fever stage of the disease. As the carriers are misquitos, correct disposal of still water, covered windows, and use of certain herbs to ward them off generally reduce the risk of contracting the disease.
