Fichetti New Century Hammerless
Written by: Ripshot
I hate this gun so much. You might think 'cause I'm into guns that I'd appreciate a classic, but this is clearly a gat made before metahumans and it fucking shows. One of ours uses it semi-regularly and every time I hol̷̥̞͍̩͕͍d͡ it̫̩͖̤͕̪͕ ̮͓̣͍ͅI ͝f̰͍̮͖̳͔ḙ̵̫̳e̥͇̣ͅl̲̖̺̖̠̦̟ ̮͚̖̣̫̬͍l̨̝͇̖̮i̭̞̱k̩̤̗̤̗̀e̢̺̥̬̲ ̰̻̬̗̙̹I̵̝͚̙̮̮'̩̜̱͚̝m̨̖̜͈̰ ̢͔͎̮͍̯̪͙g̦̥o̸̝̦̼̳̬̻̪n̙͝n̴̝͓̮̱͈̤a͏̩͔̝͓ l̟̙͈͇̫o͠s͏̝̳̮e̖̞̼ ̬̭̟̞̜̀c̱̩̼͚͔í̙̫͉͕̟͓r͎̺̮̗c̮̹̺̫u͍̻̣̘l̠̫̘a̖̥͎̟̭̼t̵̩̜i̞̲̗̼͍͡ò̦͓͎̖̟n̺̗̯̤ͅ i҉̶͕̠̭̀͘͞n̶̨̧̬̰̺͙̼̜̰̪͇͈͔̟̞̻͓̠͓͠ ̵̸̡̡̼̫̭̣̦̦̤̟̖͉̰̗͍̺͎̻̀ͅm̧҉҉̧̝̳̝͎̼̙̳̲̰͖y̡̮͈̩̺̘͙̘̹̫̣̝̩̗̜This goes on for a while, so I'm gonna save some time and skip ahead to the important parts.

This thing's a 'licensed update' of the Colt Model 1903 Pocket Hammerless, a gat from the twentieth century designed by John Browning (praise be unto him) himself and given a surprisingly tame renovation for the sixth world. The frame's made with contemporary alloys, and it's chambered in modern calibres including options for caseless firing, but otherwise it's more or less the same gun it was nearly two-hundred years ago, for better and for worse.. Sure, it's got all you need to add the electronic options we take for granted like ammo-counters, smartgun systems, cupholders and whatever else takes your fancy, but none of that comes as standard. Hope you know how to work with Fichetti's patented attachment-hardpoints, chummer. On the plus-side, the construction's sturdy enough you can pistol-whip all day with it and it'll still fire every time you pull the trigger, so it's not all outside my tastes.
Honestly, I not entirely sure why Fichetti released this one and I'm one of the slots that bought it. Most of their selection errs towards cutting-edge designs and technologies still looking for a relevant application, so why go for such a throwback?
As it turns out, one of Fichetti's new additions to their board of directors is a Mormon himself, and he's apparently very interested in bringing as many of John Moses Browning's guns to the sixth world as he can. Go figure, huh?
It's also became an overnight hit with the rich crowd for its vintage looks, enough that some of Raleigh's socialites are carrying one just to accesorise.
