Kurabokko Rodo-Sha Augmentation-Bundle

Written by: Null Kit

A recent statistic released by SK Heavy Industries made the claim that since 1980, 72% of warehouse jobs in developed countries have been automated, with piloted and autonamous drones replacing the vast majority of the sector's manual-labour oriented jobs. The warehouses under the partial-control of Kurabokko Metahuman Technologies however, remain a statistical anomaly in their strong metahuman presence on the main floor, handling and loading all cargo beneath a certain size by hand and manually operating warehouse-machinery that would usually be left to a pilot program. Kurabokko's reason for this preference is still debated upon today, but the most accepted theory is that the company's profit from their ergonomic and medical services outweighs the loss encured from the reduced automation of their facilities.   Whatever their reason, Kurabokko continues to produce and advertise cyberware and modification-suites marketted towards the remaining labour-force in the sixth-world, with the Rodo-Sha continuing to be their most popular product. The Rodo-Sha package, which can be purchased in a one-off payment or over several months/years in a 'flexible and consumer-conscious' payment-plan, has recently been updated with components sourced by Barghest Precision Machining.

Package A:

  • Kintsugi Plastic Bone-Lacing
  • Oni 1.19 Rating-1 Muscle-Replacement
  • PX114 Biomonitor

Package B, "Foreman's Suite":

  • Gashadokuro Aluminium Bone-Lacing
  • Oni 1.19 Rating-2 Muscle-Replacement
  • PX114-TX Biomonitor

In contrast with more general-purpose and combat oriented suites, the cyberware in this package has been optimised heavily for living and manipulating heavy loads, prioritising augmentation and reinforcement of the legs and spine to permit handling of large and heavy loads with a lessened risk of injury, with the integrated biomonitor continually assessing the user's body for signs of extreme stress or injury.
Sounds awfully chummy of Kurabokko, but the Biomonitor's there for heartless pragmatism. If a worker gets injured from lifting a load that's too heavy, the suits will tell him he should've paid more attention to his biomonitor's feed and hamstring his claim for compensation.
