Onotari Arms Interloper GMG

If you're like me, you've probably seen this sucker on top of Dragoon transports that go into the Concrete Forest and you asked yourself: What the hell's this, why do the cops have it and where can I get one? Well here's your answers: It's a belt-fed machinegun that shoots grenades, because the barrens just be like that, and you can't. At least, not legally. The Interloper's a licensed copy of a design Heckler & Koch have been sitting on since the 1990s, given a modern renovation with all the latest fancy-ass alloys, feeding-systems and new propellants the sixth world's got to offer. The earlier prototypes of this thing had a cyclic-rate of about 500 RPM, but the production-model intentionally slowed this down to a solid 320 RPM to keep this thing economical and hold back on straining the internals. Ballistics are pretty dependant on the ammo used, but the rifled 16" barrel keeps them flying far and stable on a good day.Unlike a lot of grenade machineguns, the Interloper can feed and fire full-pressure grenade rounds just as well as its usual lower-pressured belts. Needs you to move a lever inside the receiver first, unless you like eating the ass-end of a broken buffer-spring.Part of Onatari's big pitch for this beast is that thanks to all the new construction-materials and lightweight structural-lattices, the Interloper's a hell of a lot lighter than its grandpappy, enough that they're selling it with a kit to make it a man-portable gun. Well, Troll-portable at any rate. It's light, but it's still stuck to vehicle and tripod mounts for the likes of you or me. Mostly you.
It's also light enough to mount on the larger portable smart-firing platforms. Do what you will with this information. As for why Dragoons have these things? The Barrens usually know better than to pick a fight with a full-on police convoy, but sometimes numbers make overconfident idiots out of SINless and go-gangers. On the occasion Dragoon don't have a choice but to go into the Concrete Forest, they take one of these and a handheld launcher full of teargas to deter trouble at the crossroads. And if that doesn't work? Rack the frag belt and let rip! Life's fun, no?
