Osberger Pinch-Hitter DESA

Old man Noah Osberger asked his beloved design-bureau for something a little more niche for the law-enforcement market; a handheld riot-weapon that could zap a small crowd all at once from a safe distance, something that had all the pain of a mag full of stick-'n-shock but without the loud bangs that scare off news crews. What he got for his request was one bureau-member's lovingly written dissertation for how he hates the entire world and absolutely everyone on it, the Pinch-Hitter 'Distributed Electro-Shock Aperatus'.
First thing you might've noticed is that this thing doesn't look like any other taser out there: Instead of a single chamber to fit a handful of taser-cartirdges, you've got a whole-ass ring around the handguard that holds twenty of the damn things, pushed in one at a time after an internal spring's wound up. It's a pain in the ass to load from what I've seen, but it's all worth it once you pull the trigger, and twenty darts fly out in less than three or so seconds. Each individual dart doesn't have the same pep as the usual taser munitions - they had to go for a smaller, aerodynamic take on the standard EP1A2 dart to keep them all pointing the right way when they're being emptied out twenty at a time - but it's still got enough juice to make your average rioter drop their shit and run off scared.

I've got it on good authority that they're mounting these things on drones as well, so they can cover as many beligerents as possible with one burst.

I'd be surprised if the smaller drones could handle it, really. Damn thing's heavier than a loaded P93, and not exactly a slim piece of kit...

Before you ask: No, they're not selling these on the civvie market, but a few of them have already fell out from unchecked surplus-stock. It's expensive, high-maintenence and firing it as an all-or-nothing affair, but if you figure out how to use it right, you can piss off a whole lot of people before you get your head stomped in because you don't have a whole riot-squat backing you up after you fire this thing, omae.
