Typhon Munitions Paradigm-MK3
Written by: Ripshot
So recently, Saeder-Krupp finally got their scaley fingers on Typhon Munitions and took it in as a new subsidiary. The company's mostly stayed the same (save for Lofwyr taking back some of his poached employees), but under the new management Typhon have swerved a little in their business-practices. They're still making expensive high-end guns, but with a marketting campaign geared more towards 'OPERATORS OPERATING IN OPERATIONAL OPERATIONS'. Lots of balaclavas and tactical drek, you know? The Paradigm is the first of Typhon's older stock to be given the tacticool makeover. It's a machine-pistol marketted towards bodyguards looking for something that won't stick out as much as a full-sized SMG. It's fed from a magazine infront of the grip instead of inside like most machine-pistols, kind of like an old-school Mauser, but the grip itself houses a pretty rad recoil-dampening system to make up for the overall increase in length. To go with the matte-black facelift it's been given, the MK3 model's also been given a pretty wizz electronics-package, including a Smartgun system, safe-targetting software and - get this - a collapsable stock that deploys itself on little servomotors, 'cause we all know how much affort that last one takes...The 'electronics-package' is nothing new either. It's based on an Onatari Arms system from '77, just given a new minimalist OS-skin to keep up appearances. It's not bad per se, just not really innovative either.
My AK's nothing new either, but it'll still shoot you in the face. The Paradigm got snapped up by a lot of security-corps, in particular Valkyrja GMBH who ordered the machinepistol in bulk, because it made for a surprisingly good arnament for shield-wielding pointmen in room-clearing. Civvie customers were more of a rarity on account of laws and taxes regarding automatic weapons, but you know who doesn't give a drek about either of those things? Criminals, that's who. Especially go-gangers, who appreciate how easy it is to spray this thing one-handed while on the back of a hog, and pay beaucoup bucks to get their hands on one, much to Typhon's saltiness. We already got a couple sitting in our garages for a rainy day, and you should too.
