Shadowmancy
Shadowmancy is the name given to the magic which finds its source of power in the Abyss. It is the manipulation, augmentation, and utilization of darkness to achieve certain kinds of effects.
Like most magic, Shadowmancy can do different things based on the strength, will, and intent of the caster. Some shadowmancers, for instance, are only able to change the shape of naturally occurring shadows into either another shape, or give them temporary corporeal form. Some use shadow like a bridge between one space of darkness and another in a skill called Shadowstepping. This is a highly dangerous and taxing form of travel, as one must pass through the dangerous space *between* places, the Abyss.
Shadowmancy is the primary magic of demons, but can be learned by some human and human adjacent peoples with a great deal of training.
