The contact was wealthy when he or she originally became friends with the PC. With the economic turmoil now occurring in the world, however, there is no guarantee that the contact still has the same wherewithal. And any wealthy contacts who have actually grown wealthier will be very difficult to contact again, due to increased security, higher mobility, etc. Nonetheless, it can be very handy to have a wealthy friend.
