Xeno-Biology

This indicates a familiarity with largescale concepts of biology in general, and the way that these biological needs can be met by systems other than the classic terrestrial pattern (i.e., carbon-based chemistry, consuming oxygen and water). Creatures that do not follow these patterns are rare indeed, and are not covered by the normal Biology skill.

A character with Xeno-Biology skill can puzzle out the workings of one of these completely alien life forms, and eventually learn how to keep them alive, breed them, etc.
