Shadows of Yesterday

The year was 2060 and the threat of nuclear war grew between the US and USSR over oil reserves left. The US has found large oil deposits in Texas while Russia suffers from a greater shortage as Tatarstan broke away from the USSR and has manage to remain an independent nation and Ghawar oil fields in Arabia are the last in the Middle-East and stayed off any invasions from outside forces yet peace was fragil and war would break out for these last huge areas of oil to fuel the world.   By the year 2062, war had broken out across the world, Tatarstan was invaded by the Russians who had also started to invade Mexico to stage an invasion of the US, while the US invaded Canada to connect the US and Alaska, Europe fell into a civil war, Africa saw the bigger nations looking to expand as the major powers were warring, and the Middle-East had to fend off Chinese and Indian invaders who wanted their resources yet in the year 2066, Europe had fallen silent, they ended their war as the bigger threat was sending troops into Europe, the USSR began its invasion while also using the help of Chinese spies. In 2068, the world was finally on the brink of a nuclear war after fighting across the world, the Russians fired nuclear missiles towards the US, Europe and parts of Africa, as a way to batter them into submission yet in response, what was left of Europe fired their own back but also included hitting China, while the US joined in the European nuclear attack on Russia and China.   It is now 2300 and the world has changed greatly from what it once was. More dangerous, yet there is hope for humanity who had survived to try and make a new life for themselves.
