Shandria A World Asunder

Welcome to Shandria, a world where the only thing more divided than the various warring kingdoms is the land itself. 5 years ago, in a year now known as "The Year of The Severing" The continent known as Shandria was split apart, some unknown force of unimaginable strength ripping the land in half and wrenching the 2 pieces apart, into 2 seemingly identical pieces. The Severing devastated the lands and all of its inhabitants, with virtually all forms of trade and travel screeching to a halt in an instant. The most prosperous city in the world, Zephyrus, being caught right in the middle of the place where the world split, suffered the worst fate of them all. The entire city and all of its surrounding farmlands, as well as it's tens of thousands of inhabitants, sank to the bottom of the ocean never to be seen or heard from again.
