Strage

Created for one thing and one thing only: the opening of flesh.

Strages are servants of Asmodan, creatures who can only be stimulated by violence, creatures for whom the height of pleasure is to be washed in the hot spurts of blood that their victims produce in glorious geysers. Their entire bodies, a horrifying cross between a satyr and a bright, crimson stag beetle, are optimized for combat, and their unrelenting focus on dismemberment allows them to shrug off magical conditions and attacks with startling ease, and drives them into an indescribable frenzy as soon as the first drop of blood is spilled.

Strages were created by Asmodan, The Prince of Blood, as entities driven exclusively by lust for that precious fluid. They are extremely passive and stoic except when in battle, where their frenzied ecstacy is enough to traumatize even a bystander who sees them in action. Of course, where strages are concerned, bystanders don't usually survive.
