Firearms

Firearms are a relatively modern invention or reinvention on Yuna. And because of this there are a myriad of ways that the concept has been implemented. Some use a kind of flammable purplish powder found in the mountains of the Flamemount to launch a small metal ball while at least one Research Assistant of the Scholomance has devised a way to fire small compressed arcane darts as she calls them. Lastly several Precursor artifacts have been found that will fire small bursts of light that burn through anything they hit.
While getting ones hands on a firearm is not incredibly hard (it's not exactly easy either), it's the upkeep and maintenance that makes them a difficult prospect for more. Since each firearm is unique to its creator it also comes with it own unique flaws, material needs, and ability to improve.
