Golden glow wisps

Golden glow wisps are an extremely rare form of element soul. Where they appear is random meaning the only way to find one is to explore every place of magic power one can find and hope nothing hostile lives there. While the wisps are harmless if a smart creature figures out what it does they will often trap one in its nest. If this creature is a predator then the wisp ensure anyone fighting the creature will catch it in its prime and without any injuries associated with its kind.
Finding one is a crazy stroke of luck, and due to their golden appearance they have become associated with luck. It doesn't hurt that they bring health to anyone around making it seem like they are lucky.

Basic Information

Anatomy

A small golden orb about 2 inches in diameter that rests on the ground or floats between 5 and 50 inches above it. They have no external limbs and no known organs. A soft golden light pours out from them healing anyone in it. They are pure magic and when destroyed revert to a single magic gem.

Genetics and Reproduction

Element souls are rare because they don't reproduce. They are magic constructs that are difficult to make and extremely rare in the wild.

Growth Rate & Stages

The only form of 'growth' souls go through is that in the right conditions if multiple of the same kind are in close proximity they will merge into a single larger soul known as an Empowered Soul that is far more powerful and far more dangerous.

Ecology and Habitats

Golden glow wisps can appear and survive anywhere. There is no rhyme or reason to where they appear or where they go.

None. Once formed Souls exist until destroyed or their magic is drained.

They do not go through any cycles.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Like all element souls, Golden glow wisps lack any features but seems to sense their surroundings perfectly. They ignore most things around them, simply drifting this way or that. Most attacks will destroy them outright but those that survive the initial attack will attempt to flee. This is the only noticeable behavior they display.
