Shattered Stars

The world of Shattered Stars (Better name pending) is a tale of humanity's greed and triumph in a cold and merciless galaxy. Set in a period that humanity has started expanding into the stars without sight of other life for centuries.   Humanity has expanded beyond the sol system and through the use of a network of jump gates has begun to conquer the stars and terraform new homes. Earth has done a good job of keeping space a unified after the worlds war(TODO: Find a better name) but with growth comes change. The corporations that make up the strength of the outer worlds are looking to make it their own. Tired of the sanctions and taxes imposed by the core worlds and new Venus.   But as all good things do, one day it comes to an end. A lone scout ship accidentally stumbles across (or is found themselves) by a alien craft and the unstable empire of man is thrown into a conflict they may not be prepared for.
