Mouton Hoss

Mouton Hoss is the current Count of Hoss. He is nearing fifty years old and is responsible for the governance of the wealthiest province in Renvere, which takes its name from his family who has ruled it since the war. Mouton Hoss is particularly wealthy, although exactly how much so, is up for debate. There are rumors that his family came to power when, at the end of the War of Ash, they uncovered a large quantity of Aetherite that they sold back to the Saeli, but not before the matriarch of the family consumed a piece, granting her mystical powers.

Tragically, Mouton Hoss' wife and only heir were killed several years ago when a summer storm sunk their ship in the Celestine Sea. He has no direct heirs and there has been much speculation about his age and health, being a heavier set man.  He has long decried the branch families of his house as being petulent and at times parasitic to the main branch, making it unlikely that he would allow his seat in Hoss City to pass to them.
