The Emperor

The Emperor is the totality of the executive power in the Celestine Empire.  The first Emperor was said to be annointed by Rexos of Kings in the light of Celestine.  It is said that the person bearing this title can communicate with Celestine directly.  The Emperor resides within the Imperial Palace in the Imperial City and rarely leaves its grounds.  Little is known of the Emperor, some say that the Emperor is the same mortal blessed by the Archangels after the Salvation, while some believe that it is simply the children in that line.  

There are extremely few people who interact with the Emperor directly, only the highest ranking members of the clergy and military are permitted.  The Imperial Guard, which serves as his personal guard is made up of the Chosen of the Army of Light that chose to remain on the Mortal Realm after the War of Ashes.
