Goal of the project

From Shattered I hope to improve my worldbuilding, specially by writing stuff that I don't usually write, such as history, organizations, geography, etc. I intend to do art for every article too as I enjoy doing little simple drawings, and I hope it helps me grow as an artist.

Shattered's Unique Selling point

A spherical object surrounded by colourful clouds
Representation of the Creator (rain) by Catoblepon

The world are many floating islands in space, where in the middle of it there is a star-like object, The Creator, which gives light, dark, rain, and warmth. The stars of the univers aren't big balls of fire, but giant creatures of dark bodies that have speckles of light.

Every 5 years, an event happens on the world. An event might be something that barely someone knows about, a new species appearing, or something so big that it changes the Era. It is actually the era of Movement, as portals are a new thing that is being learnt and investigated to travel from islands to islands.

Genre

Theme

Genre

It is space fantasy.

There isn't a lot of technological progress and magic is around but not used (at least consciously). There aren't a lot of hard physics rules and a lot doesn't really have a logical explanation.

Recurring themes

- Events happen every 5 years.

- Portals are a new technology (or magic) and are being developed and researched. There are a lot of different opinions and some cause conflicts.

- People, flora, and fauna, mostly live in floating islands, but there are case of them living in giant space animals

Tone

The world itself is pretty somewhere in the middle. A character might be living good all their live if they do not cause problems or search them. But there are bad things that can happen, specially every 5 years, when an event might happen.

I'd love to get into the history of this place, explain as many events I can think of, and develop (at least an overview) of each era.

I would love to enter in detail about the relationships about the people from different islands, and to develop ecosystems for the islands.

Explaining some about The Giants is something I am looking for, as I think it is quite interesting.
