Imperial Palace
The Tokyo Imperial Palace (皇居, Kōkyo, literally 'Imperial Residence') was the main residence of the Emperor of Japan. It was a large park-like area located in the Chiyoda district of the Chiyoda ward of Tokyo and contains several buildings including the main palace (宮殿, Kyūden), an archive, museums and administrative offices.
Purpose / Function
The Imperial Palace was intended to house the Emperor of Japan. It also originally just contained rooms such as:
- Seiden State Function Hall
- Hōmeiden State Banquet Hall
- Chōwaden Reception Hall
- Rensui Dining Room
- Chigusa Chidori Drawing Room and
- The Emperor's work office
Alterations
It has since expanded to living quarters for Acolytes, a ground for worship - an armoury, as well as a small prison and interrogation room under the Palace.

Architecture
What once was a small traditional building has built up into a large and grand building - decorated with marble and stone with domes and architecture painted and addorned with Abrahamic Imagery of religious events and people - the palace is extremely tall - 250 Feet approximately.
