Kuprian Day of the Monarch
Every year there is a celebration in Kupria's capital city Vobranas. This is the Day of the Monarch, and falls on the current monarch's birthday every year. Currently the date is the 12th day of the 4th month, since that's the birthday of King Ilmonar.
There are two things happening this day. The first is the city-wide celebration. There's decorations in the house colos of House Irevos, white and green, all over the city. There are public games and live music and plays and all kinds of other entertainment to be enjoyed by everyone who happens to be in the city on this day. Stalls are set up, selling a large variety of celebratory food and drink, both local variants and things from further away.
The second part of the celebration is the royal feast. All the members of the Great Houses of Kupria living in Vobranas, plus the most important Great House members from outside the city are invited. (Anything less would make unnecessary drama and intrigue - how dare they not invite the other Houses and all that.) The royal family might invite more people if they want. These other people might be family friends not in any of the houses, or important foreign visitors, or someone who has either helped the royal family in some significant way or done something remarkable.
The royal feast is a high security event. The royal security keeps an extra sharp eye out for potential security risks. Having so many heads of state, House leaders and other important people in the same place might be tempting to people who wants to sabotage.
