Raven Code

This is a secret written cypher used by the Ravenous Ravens to make secret written messages to each other. Most of their communication isn't fit for law-abiding eyes, after all, so all text needs to be coded. To decode this cypher you will need a special device which is complex enough that you need someone to teach you how to use it to be able to decode anything with it.

If someone were to try to diassemble one of these devices without knowing how to do it, they will find themselves surrounded by a million pieces of device scattered up to five meters away by the safeguards in the design. In this way it's close to impossible to reverse engineer one of these devices. In addition, there are many different codes, and which one that is used is indicated by a tiny bit of code at the start of the message. If you don't know that the code is there, you won't be able to set up the decoder in the right way to decode that specific code.

The code consists of several symbols, each representing several letters. Which letter it represents depends on which code set is in use. The code set can changee through the text, and even the ones that knows how to decode the code can easily miss the spots where the code changes.

There has been at least one time when someone got teir hands on a decoder and almost managed to decode some important bit of code, though before they managed to make sense of the whole text, the Ravens arranged for that person to disappear. The Ravens are quite adamant about keeping their secrets, after all.
