Inmalenor ended its near-isolation as the road up the Winter Wall was finished. Other humanoids than the elves could explore the cold, vast areas of the north.

The only way into Inmalenor was through Enarion - until the summer of 1643. The Winter Wall had been a natural barrier between Kupria and Inmalenor, connected with the mountain range that parts Inmalenor from Asharia. At one point the Winter Wall is a bit less steep than other places, and with some engineering, it was possible to build a zig-zag road up the mountainside.
