Bearded Auroch

The bearded auroch is a widely used animal in the milder regions of the Cradle of the Stars. Although it can survive at lower temperatures, it loses much of its effectiveness when those temperatures drop too low. A cousin of the long-horned oxen bred for strength in the field as well as for milk, the auroch is mainly used for transporting goods and, to a lesser extent, working in the field. Indeed, the physique of this magnificent animal combines a colossal musculature for an unequalled height at the withers with very small hooves compared to the rest of the body. They are capable of phenomenal strength and are well suited for road transport, however, they do sink and tear into softer ground such as dirt. The two pairs of horns of this species can reach a span of about 2m, so the horns are cut off when the animal reaches puberty. It is not clear where it comes from, undoubtedly a descendant of the cows of the lords who would have returned to the wild.

L'auroch barbu est un animal très utilisé dans les régions au climat le plus doux du Berceau des Étoiles. Bien qu'il puisse survivre a des températures plus basses, il perd grandement en efficacité lorsque celles ci descendent trop. Espèce cousine des boeufs à cornes longues élevés tant pour leur force au champ que pour leur lait, cet auroch est principalement utilisé pour le transport de marchandises et dans une moindre mesure, le travail au champs. En effet, le physique de cet animal magnifique combine une musculature colossale pour unue hauteur au garot inégalée avec de très petits sabots comparativement au reste du corps. Ils sont capables de déployer une force phénoménale et s'avèrent être tout à fait adaptés au transport routier, cependant, ils s'enfoncent et saccagent les terrains plus mous comme de la terre battue par exemple. Les deux paires de cornes de cette espèce pouvant atteindre une envergure avoisinnant les 2m, on coupe les cornes lors de la puberté de la bête. On ne sait pas bien d'où il vient, sans aucun doute un dessendant des vaches des seigneurs qui seraient revenues à l'état sauvage.
