Criðnis
Criðnis are crustaceans living in shoals and fished mainly in Copper Bay south of the The Craddle of Stars.
These rounded Norway lobsters swim in a tight formation and hunt small fish with an appendage that allows them to project poisonous stings. Although they are not deadly to humans, it is not advisable to rub against them. Normally these crustaceans do not use their stings once they are out of the water but accidents have already happened.
Their fishing is quite simple, the criðnis hunt facing the current in the strong counter-currents of the headlands around the bays in which they reproduce. All you have to do is go up the current with a net to retrieve whole shoals.
Their flesh is very firm for crustaceans and makes culinary preparations more diversified.
The eggs of this species are also very popular, both for their silvery colour and their extraordinary flavours.
