Makth Forest
The Makth Forest used to be a beautiful, expansive forest within the country of Oriax that was populated with many sylvan races such as saytrs, dryads, firbolgs , and fairies. However once the Unknown began to expand into the Oriax their castle was set in the forest away from the public, the influence of the Unknown began to set in which began to poison the forest.
Description of forest: The trees stand as skeletal remains, their once lush canopies reduced to a sparse scattering of brittle, gnarled branches. The ground is uneven, littered with fallen logs and rotting stumps, their bark peeled away and moss-covered, giving a sense of slow decay. The underbrush is sparse, consisting of tangled, thorny brambles that claw at anyone who ventures too close. A chill pervades the air, even on the warmest of days, as if the forest itself has absorbed the warmth and vitality of the land. The silence is profound, broken only by the occasional rustling of dry leaves or the distant call of a solitary bird, which sounds strangely out of place in the stillness. The sky overhead is a muted gray, the light filtering through the bare branches in a weak, diffused glow. Shadows stretch long and twisted across the uneven terrain, creating a sense of perpetual twilight. The forest feels abandoned, holding an eerie, almost palpable sense of desolation and neglect.
The Makth Forest is now a desolate place that doesn't contain a multitude of different races or plantlife. There are a few Yew trees that have survived the evil influence on the forest and with that there are a few Yewhearts that live within the forest that attempt to combat the evil that has crept into the forest. There is a goblin camp within the forest that has helped to poison the forest more. The goblins don't abide by nature laws and they have helped drive out the dryads and saytrs to the edges of the forest. It is a scary place to traverse through with the goblins, hobgoblins as well as a colony of Kobolds who naively love the Unknown for no reason other than to cause chaos.
