The Inverted Tower
The Inverted Tower is a dungeon in ever decreasing rooms beneath Mount Famu. It is filled with monsters of an undead nature such as Zombies, Skeletons, and Ghosts. At the base of the tower on a pedestal lies Dusk Hammer, the pistol of the moon. It is the opposite of Dawn Ringer the pistol of the sun which resides at the top of the mountain.
Purpose / Function
The tower was created by a Platinum Shadow Dragon to protect the pistol and make sure its wielder knows the damage the pistol can bring. Each of its challenges represents a moral dilemma that one may face using the pistol.
Design
The rooms very in size but all are made of the same glassy obsidian with motes of glowing light moving within them. They all have vaulted ceilings and tend to be filled with undead enemies.
Entries
To enter the Inverted Tower one must simply walk through the front door. Made of obsidian with glowing motes of light inside it the large double doors stand at about fourteen feet tall and are ringed in platinum. It is the only way in or out.
Sensory & Appearance
Upon entering the Inverted Tower a player begins to feel a sense of unease and panic. There is an eerie almost imperceptible humming that seems to emanate from within the walls of the tower itself.
Denizens
Most of the creatures that reside in the tower are undead; However, at the very top or bottom, depending on your way of thinking, of the tower resides a specter of the last wielder of Dusk Hammer. The specter tells of the dangers and miseries of wielding Dusk Hammer. If the player refuses to leave at the specters request than it attacks them
Contents & Furnishings
Each room of the tower is empty, oddly sparse and clean.
Valuables
On a pedestal in the center of the room lies Dusk Hammer. A Colt revolver made of the same black obsidian of the tower, with accents of silver.
Architecture
The subterranean rooms of the inverted tower are made of black granite that sparkles like stars. The architecture is rather alien and pulsing lights can be seen inside some of the stones. There are windows in the walls and despite being underground seem to show images of an outside world and the image of the outside gets higher as the player goes down creating an effect that confuses and muddles the brain.
History
There is a legend, a legend of two brothers. One known as Paladom the Lord of the North Wind and Paladia the Lord of the South Wind. The two brothers grew to be very different beings. One believed in loyalty, duty, and following the straight and narrow, while the other believed that some rules should be broken for the greater good. Both created a weapon, a pistol for their champion to wield. Paladom put a guardian in place for the worthy to be tested, while Paladia created a dungeon, to test the cunning and intentions of a wielder. Thus the Inverted Tower was created.
