Black Diamond Plate is a crystalline suit of plate armor that is hard as steel, but lighter. A suit of this armor includes gauntlets, heavy leather boots, a visored helmet, and thick layers of padding underneath the armor. Buckles and straps distribute the weight over the body.

The armor is ornate and looks like steel, though its lighter weight prooves otherwise. These suits were typically worn by officers or elite soldiers, and they are prized greatly as the secrets to their construction have been lost in the aftermath of the war.
