Chitiner

De chitiners zijn een ras aan insect achtigen. Ze zijn samen met de andere races The Migration de grove ingekomen. Veel chitiners hebben hier zelfs alleen een ander idee bij. De Colony, waar de meeste chitiners te vinden zijn, houdt sterk het geloof in hun bevolking dat de chitiners altijd al in de grove geleefd hebben, maar dat hun voorouders de Delvets ontlopen hebben door gigantische tunnel systemen te maken. Tot Titan hun van het ondergrondse leven hebben geredt door de Delvets uit te roeien.
Chitiners kunnen in veel verschillende vormen voorkomen. Sommige met vleugels, andere met meerdere armen, van alles wat ook in veel insecten te vinden is kunnen chitiners ook meenemen vanuit hun familie. Zij zijn één van de meest unieke rassen uit de grove. Al hun verschillende lichamelijke atributen zorgen voor veel verschillende chitiners.
Van naturen zijn chitiners verzamelaars en aaseters. Veel van hun houden er van om prulletjes te verzamelen, al helemaal dingen die origineel van Giants af komen en chitiners aten origineel vooral de restanten van grotere dode wezens.
Aangezien chitiners vooral met de cultuur van de Colony geassocieert worden, hebben veel andere rassen uit de grove een wat negatievere blik van ze. De Colony is een plek die heel erg hun monarch (de Queen) vereert en heel erg hun eigen volk voor zet. In de Colony is het heel erg iedereen voor hunzelf en dat idee is door de grove verspreidt als een beeld over chitiners als een geheel. Dit zorgt ervoor dat veel mensen chitiners niet willen vertrouwen.

Biological Traits

Chitiners age at the same rate as lightinets, but the rate in which they would die of old age is very dependant on their physicality. Some may live for only 50 years, while there have also been Chitiners recorded to live past 300 years old. Though these occurances are very rare. The average chitiner however while die of old age around the same time a lightinet would.

Ecology and Habitats

Chitiners don't much a climat preference, even though they are pretty adept at living in hotter climats

Average Intelligence

Tough most chitiners have the average intelligence of a sapien being within the grove, there is a breed of chitiners who are specifically made by the queen of the Colony to be almost mindless soldiers. Their intelligence is more comparable to that of a dog.

Beauty Ideals

All chitiners look very distinct from one and another, so culturally there aren't allot of beauty standards when it comes to a chitiners physique. Instead they judge on cloths, jewelry and most signs of status. Everything that could sign to a form of authority will be a high priority in a chitiners outfit. The wealthy ones usually wear the most rare and outrages jewelry, some even with magically properties and most of all scavenged from Giants. Small pieces of larger animal pelts might also be used as a material for clothing, but the most eye catching thing a chitiner could wear is anything lined or coated with a rare metal or gem.

Average Height

A chitiner's height is again dependant on its physicality. Chitiners are one of the biggest and smallest races of the grove, with only Rotairants coming on top of most larger Chitiners.
