Ravens and Crows
BEHAVIOR
Ravens and Crows; (Corvus and Crovus Corax) as ravens exhibit prankster behavior (pulling animla tails) and mimicry of human speech. However, Crows showcase intelligence, recognition of human faces, and gift giving behavior. Alongside this gift giving behavior Crows have been noted to create multiple mutualism relationships. Note that mutualism means the association between organisms of two different species in which each benefits. Mutualistic arrangements are most likely to develop between organisms with widely different living requirements. One of the most notable relationships the crows have are with humans in fact! More specifically The House of Raven where the residents of the Kingdom of Jokull's intelligence agents lie and do work. By training the birds to track different people and remember the locations they visit the trainers reward the birds with shiny objects to help them build their nest. Since these birds tend to collect the more shiny their nest the more desirable they are to a mate thus strenthing the bird's bonds with their human till they find a mate. The House of Raven is also the residence of Loki.
DESCRIPTION
Ravens have a v-shaped/wedge shaped tails while Crows have a fan-shaped. Ravens are as big as hawks while Crows are pigeon sized. Ravens noises sound like "gronk-gronk" and crows go "caw-caw". Crows can live up to 20 years while ravens live up to 80 years with some special cases. Crows roughly have 2.5 foot wingspan and are about 17 inches long and weighing about 20 ounces. Ravens have a 4.5 foot wingspan and are about 27 inches long weighing 40 ounces. Appearance wise both of these birds are pure black but the longer they live the more mana they gain thus a slight change in color is seen through time. After 10 years Crows get a hue of green but ravens tend to go through an array of colors starting at a blue hue at 30, purple hue at 50, and a red hue at 70. Sometimes these birds experiene mana overload and undergo mana mutation transforming them into monsters called "Crovens". These monsters have a 9 foot wingspan and are 54 inces long and weigh 80 ounces.
