The City of Afield (AW - FIELD)

Afield is a city in the country of United Leona. It once acted the nation's capitol before The Collapse and is one of the few cities who suffered little to no damage after the event, so now, it boasts original architecture, landmarks and sites, and traditions that would have been lost to time elsewhere. 
Today, it is considered the historical capitol of United Leona and is a major tourist destination. It hosts many temples, palaces, shrines, and gardens, making the city, and the region around it, one of the most beautiful in the country. 
Climate
Afield has a humid subtropical climate, featuring a marked seasonal variation in temperature and precipitation. Summers are hot and humid, but winters are relatively cold with occasional snowfall. Afield, along with most of the southern and central areas of United Leona is prone to heavy rainfall and flooding in some areas during the spring and early summer.
Demographics
Historically, Afield was the largest city in United Leona, later surpassed by Edoran and Azmar towards the end of the First Tranquility. Today, it is the fourth largest city in United Leona.
Government 
Afield is governed by the directly elected mayor of Afield and the Afield City Assembly. The legislative city assembly has 20 elected members.
