Renewing Contract

The Contract is a mercenary group with head quarters in Carntys. It is a common stop for adventurers or people looking for a decent paycheck. There you can sign up to work simple guard duties to help the Spring Lands , or if you're more daring, take on large beasts in the surrounding mountains and forests.
Some swords for hire, bounty hunters, or lone wolf mercenaries will purchase a renewing contract. The renewing contract is an enchanted book that cannot be written in, the pages cannot be torn out, and the cover cannot be harmed. A targeted dispel magic can erase the enchantment. The renewing contract is magically connected to a large ledger kept at the mercenary group's headquarters in Carntys. It is a hard back, leather bound book. The leather is a dark red and pressed with the mark of The Contract in green. It comes with a gold colored ribbon that you can use to mark your pages if you wish.
A copy of each job flyer given to the mercenary group is pasted into the ledger that is then magically added to each renewing contract in the realm simultaneously. When a new flyer is added to the book a magical tab will appear at the new page.You can also purchase an enchanted stamp separately and is the only object that can mark the pages of the renewing contract. The stamp is used to note that you have completed the task and will be returning with proof of your deed. Each stamp should be placed in the lower right corner of the page and is magically updated in each renewing contract throughout the realm as well as the main ledger. Each stamp is customized with your initials to mark the owner.
