Elmgate

Elmgate makes one of the two largest Districts within the walls of Olmixipor, alongside Ol' Monter and houses the majority of residents in the city. The district is named after the north gate of the city that leads toward Felhemidi and spill outward through this gate and beyond. Due to Cartitia's fast growing population the capital has struggled to maintain the growth of residents within the protection of the capitals walls and so, both in Elmgate and in the southern districts, the town has grown out beyond the original borders.   The Elmgate gate, also simply known confusingly as Elmgate, is made of an ancient wood called Elm. Their are remains of druidic carvings deep in the wood that has yet to be dated leading the gate to be under constant scientific investigation. Some say the answer to understanding the elm tree would lead to discoveries of other continents or era's lost through time.   The District itself is not anything to impressive, though it is large it is mainly inhabited with residential homes and small local shops. It is close to the sea and so it gets the nice ocean breeze that caresses the streets with its chilly air, and the district is further from the loud ruckus of the merchant streets and louder night districts like Pearlbridge.
