Green Swamp's Praise
The Engraving "Green Swamp's Praise" was created in 633Ar and is an engraving on a medium-sized granite plate with jade inlays. It is considered one of the central masterworks of Garnath Reyralie.
The engraving depicts several persons within a swamp raising up a monument. The centrally depicted monument is made of stone and wood and has the shape of a spear with a rough head on its top. The tall slender figures around it are mostly turned toward the monument, their expressions either not visible or visibly joyous. Several smaller, hunched figures on the side, however, are turned away. Each of these figures has a hurt or angry expression. Only one of the taller figures is turned to the smaller ones - their expression not visible, but their hands strechted out towards them.
The artwork seems to portray the erection of settlements by the Legari in the Dragon's Forest. Unusually for an elven artist, this depicition seems to critically reflect on the actions by elves that led to the forceful expulsion of human tribes settling there during the first war between the sentient species about 4500 years before the creation of the artwork.
The depicted monument was the traditional First Sapling and thus, the two groups are Legari elves and Zecorian (later Baradolian) humans, respectively. It is unclear, who the figure turned towards the humans is depciting.
The Engraving was stolen from Archduchess Erzschmied of Lachsen during the autumn equinox of 1605 AR.
