Gurk the Leon
Gurk the Leon is a famous orcen Meator and Shaman. His life's goal was to find a way to develop rituals to transfer the ability of flight from birds and other airborne animals to the consumer of the flesh.
While he ultimately (and painfully) failed in this endeavor, he created many fascinating rituals to bless and enhance both animals and Orcs consuming his prepared meat.
Early life and Fascination with flight
Gurk the Leon was born in 1578 AR in the northern region of the Golgaed Mountains. Due to the lack of resources, his clan had to travel constantly and Gurk grew up with a nomadic lifestyle. Being a very intelligent child, he spent a lot of time observing the animals around him, creating bonds with them easily.
His special fascination was with the birds accompanying his clan all year round. Not only their diversity but the ease of travel they had through these harsh desert lands fascinated him and he soon started to bother the clan's shaman with questions about flying.
His interests in the workings of nature did not go unnoticed by the shaman of course and he quickly decided to train him as his potential successor. Gurk was fully aware of this honor and was a good student to his master.
