Torden
Archmage Torden Firfriend. Lore Keeper
Torden is a Gnome Lore Wizard, and current member of the player character party. He wields the Vestige The Dawning Tome. as both the shortest, and oldest, member of the party Torden has a unique appearance. Three feet tall, 30 pounds soaking wet, and dressed like a homeless druid, Torden isn't an imposing figure. Those that cross him quickly find his bookish reserved demeanor hides immense arcane knowledge. His inquisitive nature and tendencey to go to great lengths for knowledge, make him a tour de force of learning. Whether he's preserving freshly plucked dragon eyes, sketching enemy corpses right after battle, or annihilating foes with balls of acid, Torden does so with a desire to be better than he was the day before. Born in Lyrengorn, Torden learned Magic from reading his father's spellbook, unafraid of the magic many of his people knew. With a Druid mother, and a Wizard father, He was entranced from a young age and would eventually find his way to the Alabaster Lyceum in Emon to further his learning. His education ended and he began intense personal study to learn manipulation over the raw elements of magic it's self, shaping spells to his whims.
Torden eventually discovered he was chosen by a broken god of magic known as The Uncaring, having studied from it's pieces when they were separated he was on edge knowing their personalities. However, the god of neutrality leaves Torden the freedom of choice instead trying to lead him in the right direction. A desperate plea to this deity led to Torden returning his friends to life and gaining a vestige for the price of doing the same for his enemies. He now wields The Dawning Tome.
Once on a visit to a bastion of the Cobalt Soul, Torden Learned that the dawning tome he weilded was not an artifact of The Archeart as he originally thought. Though stamped and enchanted with the symbol of the god, it was constructed as a gift to the last followers of The Uncaring, a small token as rememberance for the fallen god. Though unsure of it's complete origins, the monk they spoke too was able to tell them two things. Each of the peices of the book came from somewhere else, and that The Knowing Mistress herself had woven the magical paper to be used.
