Verdik
A duergar man rescued from the southern mines of Parabor. A previous pupil of the Master. He was given the task of protecting Elaria's old spellbook, and ended up trapped and abandoned in his hiding place, developing amnesia and going insane. An old friend of Donella as well. In spite of his heritage, he is overall quite friendly, and sees any other pupils of Elaria as his comrades.
