Bubble Day in The Wings of Azolm
Bubble Day is a celebration of the Goddess Sylvia that is celebrated throughout the The Sylvan Queendoms . The dates and practices vary from Queendom to Queendom, however they often fall around the same time in the spring of each year.
For the Wings of Azolm Bubble Day is unique. For them the coming of spring is not only the signal for celebration but when they desire partners. Having spent winter cooped up in their caves and nests, they seek out other companionship. To say bubble day to them is more biological than religious would be correct, but it is not to underestimate their support for their goddess. But like the Neko, Harpies tend to keep more private with their worship.
On a fair winded day, as the weather turns nice and people are about. The Harpies take to the skies. The fly far and wide looking for a partner to catch and embrace, some even traveling the full reaches of the Queendoms. But of course if this was just simply mate hunting, it wouldn't be quite a festival. Instead it turns into quite a spectacular. The Harpies have taken to putting on displays, aerial stunts, utilizing various means of blowing bubbles or making designs. Racing and enjoying the open air. While some may think that as it draws attention of on lookers who may become prey, it was a tradition that long stood before others took notice. In fact some evidences of this is harpies will bubble onlookers and fly with them for a while before releasing and continue their searching.
When A harpy does find a potential mate, they will dive and attempt to take the partner into their womb and carry them back to their nest. the victim is kept safe and upon return to the nest is issued out inside a bubble egg. The harpy embraces the bubble and what follows is private and dependent oh how well the two get along and want to go. It is a mating season after all.

History
The harpies always lived in the Sylvan Lands, long before others were brought there, at the time they were considered simply pests, one of the slightly more intelligent monster races. They always mated in spring, and always seemed to prefer kidnapping partners of other races. However one spring things changed. A young ambitious harpy named Azolm spied a lovely rabbit woman in the wilds. She dived to grab the oblivious looking lady. Azolm misjudged the grab and crashed into the woman. To the surprise of both the rabbit slide into Azolm's nether regions. A catch was a catch and Azolm flew home trying to figure to extract her prey. The prey came out in another odd fashion. she forced her way out in a bubble shield leaving Azolm, exhausted but unharmed. Azolm unknowingly caught a rather sleepy goddess, Sylvia the goddess still tired from her use of powers lingered with the harpy, teasing her with bubbles and a bond formed.
The encounter with the Goddess left Azolm altered, her body stretch more, and she produced egg shape bubbles. Even more theses eggs would encase other harpies and spread the same mutation. before long The Harpies were essentially different. Caring more for bubbles and seeking to be more civilized. So celebrating the Bubble Day isn't just about their mating cycle but rather appreciation for the gift that the Goddess unknowingly gave them.
